Accessibility Statement
Mind Body & Sea CIC is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement explains how we meet the Equality Act 2010 and our progress against the international standard.
Conformance status
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. We consider this site to be partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 AA — the known exceptions are listed under “Known limitations” below.
How we tested
- When: last full review was June 2026.
- How: automated testing using axe DevTools and Lighthouse, plus manual keyboard-only navigation of every primary page and screen-reader spot-checks with VoiceOver on macOS.
- What we did: followed a numbered snag list (twenty issues identified, nineteen fixed). The remaining items are noted below.
What we’ve built in
- Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy (exactly one h1 per page)
- “Skip to main content” link on every page for keyboard users
- Visible focus indicators on every clickable element
- Descriptive alt text on every meaningful image; decorative images marked as such
- Form inputs with associated labels (handled by Tally on our embedded forms)
- Colour contrast at or above WCAG AA minimums (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for UI components)
- Layout reflows cleanly at 320 px width and at 200% text zoom without horizontal scrolling
prefers-reduced-motionrespected for visitors with motion sensitivity- Cookie consent banner that moves focus to the Accept button when shown
- Touch targets sized to meet WCAG 2.2 SC 2.5.8 (minimum 24 × 24 CSS pixels; main navigation 44 × 44 or larger)
Known limitations
The items below do not yet meet WCAG 2.2 AA. We will address each by September 2026:
- A small number of older blog-post body images may lack descriptive alt text; we will add it as we audit each post.
- The embedded Google Map on the Contact page is hosted by Google and we cannot directly modify its accessibility. We provide the address and postcode in plain text alongside the map.
- PDF policy documents linked from the Policies page are scanned as third-party PDFs. We are working to re-issue them in accessible tagged-PDF format.
